Each day begins with rejuvenating yoga sessions in breathtaking natural settings and continues with visits to monasteries, wellness centers, and heritage sites. The retreat is guided by Bhutan’s deep-rooted spiritual culture and commitment to holistic well-being.

DETAILED ITINERARY

Welcome to Bhutan! After airport formalities, meet your guide and proceed to Thimphu (1-hour drive). En route, visit Tachog Lhakhang, founded by the 15th-century saint Thangtong Gyalpo, and the Gagyul Lhundrup Weaving Centre.
Check into your hotel.
Evening visit to Tashichhoe Dzong, followed by an optional relaxation yoga session or stroll through the Craft Bazaar, showcasing rural artisans’ works.

Morning Yoga (7:00–8:30 AM)
City tour includes:

  • Memorial Chorten, a monument to the Third King
  • Buddha Dordenma, one of the world’s tallest statues of Buddha
  • Takin Preserve, home to Bhutan’s national animal
  • Green Weaving Centre, focused on eco-sustainability and women’s empowerment
    Optional experiences:
  • Visit Kaja Throm (local farmer’s market), or
  • Day program at Bhutan Institute of Wellbeing, including mindfulness and silent reflection
    Evening visit to Soksoom Center for Wellbeing for optional healing sessions

Morning Yoga
Travel over Dochula Pass (3,100m) for panoramic views of Himalayan peaks and visit the 108 Druk Wangyal Chortens.
Continue to Phobjikha Valley, winter home of the black-necked cranes. Visit the Crane Information Centre.
Evening: Visit Gangtey Buddhist University for spiritual discussions or take part in offerings and cleansing rituals.

Morning Yoga
Optional Nature Trail walk in Gangtey Valley.
Visit Gangtey Monastery, and proceed to Punakha.
Visit:

  • Chimi Lhakhang, temple of fertility
  • Sangchen Dorji Lhendrup Nunnery for prayers and meditation
    Evening yoga session at your hotel.

Morning Yoga
Explore Punakha Dzong, then drive to Paro. Visit:

  • National Museum (Ta Dzong)
  • CSI Market, housed in a traditional Bhutanese building and offering locally made goods
    Evening yoga session.

Morning Yoga
Visit Kyichu Lhakhang and Drugyel Dzong before hiking to Taktsang Monastery, perched on a cliffside.
Return to the Taktsang Cafeteria for a special evening yoga and meditation session with views of the sacred monastery.

Early Morning Yoga at Taktsang Cafeteria (6:00–7:30 AM)
Participate in a cleansing ritual led by Taktsang monks, then descend to Paro.
After lunch, drive to Chelela Pass, Bhutan’s highest motorable pass, for panoramic Himalayan views.
Optional prayer flag consecration and smoke offering. If weather permits, enjoy an outdoor yoga session at Chelela.

After breakfast, transfer to Paro International Airport for your onward journey.
