Bhutan Tourism Corporation Limited (BTCL) holds the distinction of being the oldest company in the Kingdom, reflecting its enduring commitment to excellence and service.

BTCL is the only travel agency listed in the Bhutanese stock exchange since 1991, and continues to assure stability, growth and success for its shareholders and partners.

Our Fleet & Tour Executives

BTCL owns and maintains its own fleet of cars, four-wheel-drive vehicles, vans, coasters, and mini coaches to ensure reliability of transportation. The ride in our transportation fleet is safe, efficient, and comfortable, accompanied by our multilingual personnel of highly trained and experienced tour guides. With a total of more than 200 employees, many have been in the tourism industry since its initial stages of development in Bhutan.

Mr. Karma Tenzin

Since joining BTCL in 2006, Karma has become a versatile and dependable guide specializing in cultural tours, trekking, and cycling adventures. With nearly two decades of experience, his deep appreciation for Bhutan’s traditions and terrains shines through in every journey he leads, offering guests a dynamic and enriching travel experience.

Mr. Phub Tshering

A tour executive of exceptional depth, Phub has been guiding since 2000 with a unique blend of expertise in Bhutanese Buddhism, iconography, ecology, and first aid. As a certified Trainer-of-Trainers, he brings both authority and warmth to every cultural and trekking expedition, ensuring every guest’s safety, insight, and inspiration.

Mr. Tshering Ngedup

With a career spanning since 2006, Tshering Ngedup is a cultural and trekking guide with a keen eye for nature. His specialization in birding, butterflies, and Bhutan’s flora and fauna makes him a favorite among eco-travelers. Tshering’s tours are rich in discovery, inviting guests to experience Bhutan’s vibrant biodiversity firsthand.

Mr. Tshering Gyeltshen

One of Bhutan’s most experienced guides, Tshering Gyeltshen has been leading journeys since 1988. His 35+ years of service have earned him wide respect for his deep cultural knowledge and calm leadership. Whether guiding a trek across high passes or interpreting sacred art, his presence enriches every guest's connection with Bhutan.

Mr.Bhim Gurung

Bhim has been guiding travelers since 2000, delivering profound cultural experiences rooted in Bhutanese history and spiritual heritage. A skilled trekking guide as well, he brings guests safely through diverse landscapes, blending insightful storytelling with unmatched attention to detail and hospitality.

Mr. Tshokey

Guiding since 2004, Tshokey is known for his engaging personality and multi-disciplinary expertise spanning cultural guiding, iconography, trekking, bird watching, and first aid. His commitment to guest satisfaction, combined with his involvement in national volunteer efforts, reflects a guide whose heart is as strong as his skills.

Mr. Kinley Penjor

With guiding experience dating back to 1991, Kinley is a pillar of Bhutanese hospitality and wisdom. His calm demeanor and deep cultural knowledge have led countless travelers through Bhutan’s sacred valleys and remote trails, offering journeys marked by authenticity, insight, and memorable connection.
