Detailed Itinerary

Begin the trek through dense forests of conifers and rhododendrons, ascending to Tale La Pass (2,800 m). Continue to Tshojo, a seasonal yak herder camp, and further ascend to Gochu La Pass (4,200 m). Descend to your campsite at Womji.

  • Trekking Distance: 17 km | Duration: 5–6 hours
    Overnight: Tented Campsite

Climb steeply through juniper and rhododendron forests to Goche La Pass (4,350 m), offering dramatic mountain views. Traverse through yak herder camps and alpine meadows, especially vibrant with wildflowers in spring. Cross Tsheja La Pass on the ancient Haa–Tibet trade route before reaching Tshona Pata.

  • Trekking Distance: 22 km | Duration: 7–8 hours
    Overnight: Tented Campsite

Enjoy a peaceful rest day at the pristine Tshona Pata Lake. Explore the surroundings, spot golden trout in the clear waters, and visit nearby yak herder camps to get a glimpse of nomadic highland life.

Retrace your steps to Goche La Pass, then follow a ridge to Tshojo Lake (3,780 m). Descend into yak pastures to your camp at Tsang.

  • Trekking Distance: 8 km | Duration: 4–5 hours
    Overnight: Tented Campsite

Descend gradually through forests of juniper and rhododendron, crossing Tale La Pass once more before entering the Haa Valley. Your vehicle will pick you up for transfer to your hotel in Haa.
