Distance: 22 km | Duration: 7–8 hours | Altitude: 3,630m
The trail gradually ascends alongside the Pa Chhu (Paro River), through forests of oak, rhododendron, and ferns. Camp near the river with picturesque views and the soothing sound of flowing water.
Distance: 19 km | Duration: 6–7 hours | Altitude: 4,090m
Hike through yak pastures, chortens, and fluttering prayer flags. Reach Jangothang, the base camp for Mount Chomolhari, with panoramic mountain views.
Distance: 18 km | Duration: 6–7 hours | Altitude: 4,010m
Climb towards Nyile La Pass (4,890m) with spectacular views of Mount Jichu Drake and Mount Tserim Kang. Descend along the Mo Chhu tributary to the Lingshi campsite. Optional side trip to the base of Mount Tserim Kang for wildlife viewing and fishing.

Visit Lingshi Dzong and descend to the charming village of Gayul. Continue through lush meadows and gentle ridges to the idyllic valley of Chebisa.

Keep an eye out for blue sheep and Himalayan griffons. Cross Gombu La Pass (4,500m) and descend through forests of rhododendron, cedar, and fir. Camp near a stream in the remote Shomuthang valley.

Ascend to Jari La Pass (4,700m) and descend into the Tasharijathang Valley, the summer home of the takin. Overnight in this protected wildlife sanctuary.

Trek over Shinje La Pass (4,900m)—the highest point on the route. Descend into a glacial valley and climb gently through forests and meadows to reach the Limithang campsite

After a short walk to Taksemaka (military base camp), transfer by road to Gasa, concluding your trek with a scenic drive through rural Bhutan.
