Over 8 days, explore Bhutan’s most iconic sites including Punakha Dzong, Dochula Pass, and Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest). Witness powerful Cham dances, the majestic Thongdrel unveiling, and meet skilled weavers, artisans, and monks as you immerse yourself in Bhutanese culture.

DETAILED ITINERARY

Meet your guide upon arrival at Paro International Airport. Drive to Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital.

En route visit Tachog Lhakhang, built in the 15th century by Thangtong Gyalpo.

Visit Gagyul Lhundrup Weaving Centre, known for traditional royal textiles.

Visit Memorial Chorten, built in memory of the Third King.

Visit Tashichhoe Dzong, the grand administrative and religious center.

Visit Buddha Dordenma, one of the tallest Buddha statues in the world.

See the national animal at Takin Preserve Center.

Learn about nettle weaving at the Green Weaving Center.

Optional visit to Kaja Throm or the Craft Bazaar to explore local artisanship.

Stop at Dochula Pass (3,140m) for panoramic Himalayan views.

Visit the 108 Druk Wangyal Chortens, a tribute to Bhutan’s Fourth King.

Visit Chimi Lhakhang, the fertility temple.

Explore the iconic Punakha Dzong, where Bhutan’s history was shaped.

Drive to Paro via Dochula Pass.

Enjoy tea/coffee at Dochula Café.

Visit the Post Office in Thimphu to create personalized stamps.

Arrive in Paro and attend Paro Tshechu at Rinpung Dzong.

Morning visit to Paro Tshechu.

Afternoon:

Explore Ta Dzong (National Museum) with ancient thangkas, weapons, and artifacts.

Leisure stroll through Paro Town.

Attend the unveiling of the sacred Thongdrel at dawn—a massive religious tapestry of Guru Rinpoche believed to cleanse sins upon sight.

Evening stroll in Paro Town.

Hike to the iconic Taktsang Monastery, perched dramatically on a cliff.

If unable to hike, visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest temples, and Satsam Chorten.

Optional visit to Namgay Artisanal Brewery for a tasting session.

After breakfast, transfer to Paro International Airport for your flight. If time allows, a final stop in Paro town for last-minute shopping or stroll.
